Jennifer is excited to say she will be graduating from the University of Tennessee in May 2012, with a B.S. in Nutrition. This will be her second degree, the first of which she earned in Marketing, also from Tennessee. I guess you could say her bloods truly does run orange.
You might be asking how she got to this point? Marketing and Nutrition? Well let me explain. After studying Marketing, she went to work for a company that had a vision for community health and wellness. She joined them at first in a sales position. The position also involved some nutrition education/counseling under the supervision of Registered Dietitians. She loved learning from them, how food could build or break the body. As She progressed in her career, it became more and more clear that her passion was community outreach, regarding the importance of healthy lifestyles, eating behaviors and nutrition education. She witnessed first hand the impact simple changes made in peoples' lives and how rewarding it was to be involved in the process. Words can't describe the feeling she felt watching someone achieve a weight loss goal, and knowing that she was a part of it, or how it felt when someone would tell her that they had a new attitude toward life and others because of something she said or did. She proved to herself and everyone that she had an aptitude for the science of nutrition and a talent for engaging others to go with it.
Nutrition was the obvious next step, and here she is. Jennifer is looking for an opportunity to work with in a company where clients come first, a company that will allow her to combine both areas of her education, share what she has learned, impact change, and motivate others.
Please take a look around and see examples of her work, and read first hand experiences from people that she has worked with.
